Surfing with safety
Apart from secure and quality products and services, OTE Group offers a range of solutions and information on how children and adults can safely use technology.
Last year, we launched the ‘Children and Technological Safety’ program. Through innovative solutions and useful tips, the program focuses on informing parents on how to educate their children.
There is a variety of options to choose from:
Parents decide on the time limit usage, the calls,
as well as the apps and sites their children can visit.
They can spot their child’s mobile phone signal on the map,
or be notified about their leaving a specified area.
Students’ educational seminars
at the OTE Group Telecommunications Museum
Awareness sessions for safe internet surfing are held each month. In 2015, we started working together with the Cyber Crime Unit: high school students are informed on safer and better ways in dealing with internet challenges.
‘The Internet Farm’ at the Museum
Over 975 students and teachers attended the theatrical play, in 2015. The play, which was initially presented 4 years ago at the OTE Telecommunications Museum, introduced the children on how to use the internet safely and responsibly, in a fun and entertaining way.
Collaboration with acknowledged partners
Over 10,000 people from all over Greece attended workshops held by the Cyber Crime Unit, with the support of OTE and COSMOTE.
In 2015, we collaborated with GERMANOS, supporting ‘ODYSSEAS’, the 1st Mobile Lab of Information, Education and Technology program, an initiative of the ‘Smile of the Child’ Organisation targeting over 5,000 students.
